Pine Cone Lamp Finial

We make these lamp finials from natural pine cones we gather around our camp in Maine. They're lacquered to preserve their color and sheen. The finials measure 2 to 2½" tall, and range in width from approximately 1½" to 2".

Each pine cone is drilled and epoxied to a brass-plated base that fits a standard lamp harp (¼" x 27tpi). What could be more natural, beautiful and environmentally sound?
